Aug. 19, 1839: Photography Goes Open Source

There is a first for everything. So let this blog entry be my first historical one. note that I am still “on subject” with photography.

So, on this day, a French man (Vive la France LOL) revealed to the world the workings of silver plate photography marking the beginning of a great adventure.
