Perspective Cropping In Photoshop

The other day – actually the other night – I took a number of great pictures of the Montreal Notre-Dame cathedral (yes, that is where Celine Dion got married).

However, using my Sigma 8-16 wide angle created noticeable distortion.

I used Lightroom to correct some of it, but it is not perfect. Hopefully this video from Photofocus will set me straight – literally.

Max, You should check out the new feature for wide angle lenses in PS CS6, it’s probably what you’re looking for.

Hey, I still have to check out CS 5.5 !!!

No need to check out CS5.5, there is nothing new vs CS5. CS 6 is the one you’ll want though, lots of new stuff. You can check out the beta for free right now at adobe labs, and you can get an over view on lynda.com PS CS6 what’s new for free as well. It takes about 2 hours and a bit to take the full tour and it’s Deke McClelland who does the tour so it’s pretty cool. It’s a real joy to work with PS 6, that I can tell you, but I can’t give you more detail:-).

It’s the same feature, but explained by someone else. Deke goes a bit further but you get the gist of it.
