I just wanted to share a quick note about this year’s travel. After a quick stop in New York City, my wife and I have just arrived in Washington D.C.
It’s travel photography like I love. Like what got me started blogging.
My first impressions: experience starts to pay. I take less pic, I am more picky, I can more quickly scan a scene for good composition, I correct my exposures more often.
And I just keep on rock and rolling 🙂
One of the many pleasures I have is returning to my 18-200 VR II lens I sort of had abandoned after going with my new pet lens, the 24-70 f/2.8. Sure, I miss the wide aperture, but I love the versatility of this zoom. And that’s what I figure one would be looking for in a lens while traveling: versatility, adaptability.
Pictures to come :).
Tomorrow, the National Mall.
