2012 Best-Of: January

Last year, I did a self review of some of my favourite shots.

This year, I am doing a repeat, with a twist. I am giving myself two selection criteria: the story has to tell a picture and it can not have appeared before on my blog.

So for January, in the middle of a beautiful winter, a picture of the Notre-Dame basilica in Old Montreal.

  1. Wow! The vivid blue facade contrasted with the muted colors around the statue makes for a dynamic composition!

Thanks J.A. The long exposition helps capture (over capture!) the facade and allows the city skyline to be illuminated. I also like how I managed to hide the lamp post behind the statue on the right, thus adding an aura around it.
