Best of 2012: July

If you are from Montréal, you know the Five Roses flour factory. If you are visitor that came from the south from the Champlain bridge you might have seen its glowing sign at night. A classic city sight, almost as iconic as the Hollywood sign in California.

it is so much appreciated that when the new parent acquired the brand, it wanted to shut down its lights at night, in order to save some few dollars. That was such an uproar that the company had to back down.

Although I did not photograph it at night, I planned this photoshoot and was lucky enough to have access to as it is normally locked and inaccessible to the public.

I like this shot, it is now my iPad lock screen.

f/5.6, 1/1000, ISO 200@ 56mm with Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8
